Interested in improving communication with industry during the acquisition process? Early communication with industry leads to better acquisition outcomes. Thus, the Office of Federal Procurement Policy (OFPP) isued two memoranda addressing common misconceptions about communication with vendors. The goal of "Myth Busting" and "Myth Busting 2" is to improve communication with industry during the acquisition process by clearing up these misconceptions and providing tools for agencies to use. The first memorandum includes "Top 10 Misconceptions" and various steps and tools to help agencies remove barriers to reasonable communication with industry. The second memorandum introduces an Acquisition Collaboration Toolkit to continue to help agencies in their engagements and provides a list of misconceptions that may be held by vendors in regards to early interactions.
