Ever wondered what more you could do to support small business and help your agency meet or exceed its goal? Join new OFPP Administrator Joseph Jordan, SBA Associate Administrator for Government Contracting John Shoraka, and senior representatives from the Federal Acquisition Regulatory Council (DoD, GSA, NASA) for "Going Big for Small Business" on Monday, August 6th from 1PM to 3PM (EDT) to discuss the importance of meeting government-wide goals and other small business contracting issues. The discussion will also include several priority initiatives that were recently discussed with agency Deputy Secretaries at the White House Small Business Procurement Group, including the new FAR rule implementing section 1331 of the Small Business Jobs Act. The section 1331 authority provides contracting officers the ability to set-aside orders placed under multiple award contracts and is an invaluable tool in providing opportunities to small business. To stay current on acquisition changes, we encourage all in the acquisition workforce – including contracting officers, procurement policy analysts, program managers, small business specialists, and others – to attend this webcast. The interim FAR rule may be found here: https://federalregister.gov/a/2011-27786.
Please note that this event is from 1PM to 3PM Eastern Daylight Time (EDT). Also, the event will be recorded and available for viewing at a future date.
The presenters will answer participant questions at the end of the webcast. Click here to submit a question related to this seminar.
