Certification and Career Development Programs

Federal certification programs are designed to establish consistent competencies and standards for those performing acquisition-related work in civilian agencies. Certifications are federal standards recognized across agencies but do not guarantee assignment or advancement. Further information about the knowledge, skills, abilities, and other characteristics an individual needs to successfully perform acquisition work roles can be found under the specific career field.

The Office of Federal Procurement Policy and the Federal Acquisition Institute have established the following certification programs. Each program includes education, training, and experience requirements.
