Description

This is the third video in the CIO Council IT Symposium series. It discusses the Acquisition Gateway and how it can support acquisition professionals in Category Management, an approach for the Federal Government to buy more like a single enterprise as opposed to separate entities.

The Federal Chief Information Officers Council held an IT Symposium at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center on June 15-16, 2015. As underscored by the recent enactment of the Federal Information Technology Acquisition Reform Act (FITARA), acquisition plays a significant and important role in IT excellence, and an entire track was dedicated to this subject matter. IT and acquisition professionals participated in sessions around topics such as agile acquisition, integrated teaming, and the category management approach in procurement.
